The country’s current total installed power generation capacity is approximately 4,046 MW by 2019, consisting of 610 MW non-dispatchable plants owned by private sector developers and CEB owns the bulk of the dispatchable power comprising 1,398.85 MW of hydro and 1,504 MW of thermal generation capacity. Independent Power Producers (IPPs) own balancing dispatchable energy, which is totally thermal plants.
